Digital downtown Brings Consumer Technology to Wall Street

CEA is bringing consumer electronics to the financial community at Digital Downtown, New York’s Consumer Technology Showcase. The
public and media are invited to attend this (free) event in the beautiful Winter Garden at the World Financial Center in Manhattan, Thursday through Saturday, June 12-14.
Strategically situated in the lobby of the corporate headquarters of such financial powerhouses as American Express, Merrill Lynch, Dow Jones and Deloitte & Touche and their 40,000 staff, the show will highlight the latest technologies to a new audience.
New York Mayor, Michael Bloomberg sums it up:
Digital Downtown is a powerful commitment to our city from companies whose technologies are redefining the way that contemporary society communicates, entertains and creates. CEA’s support of this initiative is a valued tribute to the technology leadership of our city, its people and its businesses.”
Over 30 CE brands will be showing their stuff at Digital downtown. Some highlights include:

- The Pioneer Dome – the ultimate geodesic audio/video blow-up nightclub – will be showcased on the outside plaza, overlooking the
- Best Buy will premiere a trailer full of cutting-edge gear and gadgets that are not yet available at Best Buy (or anywhere else).
- A multitude of flat screens from Hitachi, LG, Sharp, Toshiba and Panasonic will be on display, along with home theater and home automation products, the latest in gaming, audio, video, wireless and more.
