CEA’s “America Wins With Trade” tour kicked off this morning in Hauppauge, New York, as the America Wins With Trade bus pulled into the headquarters of Audiovox.

Audiovox Chairman John Shalam and President Pat Lavelle welcomed CEA’s brand new trade tour bus to Audiovox.  We toured the Audiovox facility, where headrest video screens were being installed for shipment to car dealers across the country, and Audiovox electronics, including TVs, satellite radios, and audio accessories were being quality tested before shipment to retailers.

Seeing all the Audiovox employees who owe their jobs to trade — Audiovox employees nearly 1,000 people — helped emphasize for me the importance of this educational tour.  We want to help all Americans understand the benefits to our economy of trade — it creates jobs, opens foreign markets to American products, and drives our economic growth.
