Centerpin Technology’s Perspective on Free Trade

I applaud the efforts of CEA and the importance of their “America Wins with Trade” campaign. Their grassroots effort to help educate the public on the benefits of free trade is crucial to the future of our industry and American business.
I had the pleasure of participating with the tour bus as they made a stop in Pensacola, Florida as they campaigned through the Gulf Coast. I must say that the tour bus is stunning and does an awesome job of visually communicating the trade issue.
From my perspective, we live in the greatest country in the world because of American innovation. From the invention of the telegraph to the personal computer, Americans have lead in innovation decade after decade. Because of our innovation, we as a nation have prospered and the world has prospered.
Innovation and free trade go hand-in-hand. Free trade allows us as a business community to continue to prosper in a global economy. Without it, our opportunity will be stifled.
Centerpin Technology is small innovation company. We have developed a better and easier way to terminate electrical wire and coaxial cable. We presently have 18 U.S. patents with more in the works. Our products are simple and save time for the consumer and save labor costs for professional installers in the field. The Air Force Special Operations and the White House Communications Department use our connector products because of the ease and speed of installation. Our products are sold under the Centerpin, Shakespeare Brand in the marine industry and GE, RCA and Acoustic Research Brands in the consumer electronics industry.
The bottom line for us and our licensees is that free trade means expanded markets and more sales. This expansion of business translates into more jobs and a stronger economy.
