Electronics Made Easy

Molly By Molly McLearn

I’ve worked for the Consumer Electronics Association for the past five years so I have a general understanding of the technologies that are available to me as a consumer. However, I would not, by any means, consider myself tech savvy. Regardless, my friends and family still see me as the electronics expert so I frequently use my resources to help them out and save them time. While I don’t mind lending a helping hand, it would be great if I could send those closest to me to one place to find answers to all of their consumer electronic questions.

DigitalTips.org is CEA’s consumer education website and I am dedicated to making it the go-to resource for people seeking information about electronics and technology that can aide their lives. Selfish? Maybe. But this website is designed to help everyone – from gadget geeks to their grandmas. At DigitalTips.org you can find buying guides, how-to videos, articles and more.

So the next time my best friend Sarah calls me to ask about setting up her new HDTV (yes, I’ve already helped her twice – same TV – don’t ask), I will direct her to DigitalTips.org where she can check out CEA’s interactive how-to get HD Guide.

And the next time my dad calls seeking step-by-step instructions on how to do just about anything and everything electronics related, I will direct him to DigitalTips.org

Most recently, he called because he wants audio out on his lanai. Conveniently, we just completed a multi-room audio video interactive guide currently featured on DigitalTips.org. This guide will give my dad a better understanding of this technology and will direct him to hire a professional TechHome installer to handle the job allowing him more time to improve his golf game before my next visit.
