I’m typing this blog live from the fabulous NBCU Media Lounge at the International CES courtesy of Jon Accarrino of NBCU. Jon extended this invitation to me several weeks ago and I was happy to accept. 

Upon our arrival at the Lounge, my colleague, Brianne, and I were immediately distracted by a celebrity sighting.  If you’ve read my previous blog entry and tweets you’ll understand that I consider the whole CES and Vegas experience to be as much about celebs as electronics, and indeed the two go together well.  Without our consumer electronics devices how would we listen to, view, learn about and stalk our fave celebrities.

The celeb in question was the delightful Jimmy Fallon.  He was filming an interview, one of many from the show floor.  I must report that Jimmy was very sweet and posed for photos and seemed like a genuinely nice guy.  He and Brianne follow each other on Twitter too.

Jon has been a perfect host providing us with comfy seating (aaahhh), laptop coolers, Vegas water, broadband connections and even (I dropped a blog) laptop bags. The bags contain everything you need in life from a portable mouse and chapstick to Pop Rocks.

Even the neighbors are nice in the NBCU Media lounge.  Brianne and I are enjoying a lovely chat with fellow visiting blogger Charlie White (shown left)  of DVICE.  In fact,  I enjoyed the visit so much I’m coming back on Sunday morning.  I encourage you to visit the booth if you’re at CES and definitely check out NBCUatCES.com. You may even be lucky enough to score an NBC Universal celebrity sighting!
