Tech Gifts for Mom & Dad
May 6, 2009 |
It can be hard to think spring in Washington, D.C. since we jumped from 40 degree weather and rainy days right into 90s summer-like heat. Still, it’s a season of celebrating with Mother’s Day almost here and Father’s Day and graduations right around the corner.
With Mother’s Day up first, you’d better get shopping if you haven’t already, for something to show Mom how special she is. Suggestions include great affordable gifts and ways to use tech to preserve memories for Mom.
A 2009 Mother’s Day survey by the National Retail Federation showed consumers will spend $857 million on electronics or computer-related accessories as gifts. Being a tech enthusiast I plan to join this crowd. My parents already have a lot of cool gadgets so accessories to make those products work better, match their style or travel easier, is the way to go.
CEA has created a great guide to electronic accessory ideas for Mom, Dad or your grad. The best part about accessory products is you can find something to fit every budget, so even if money is a bit tighter this year you can still find a great gift!
What do you plan to get for Mom and Dad this year?
