SINOCES Kicks Off in Qingdao, China

CIMG2702This week, SINOCES, China’s largest tradeshow for consumer technology, kicked off in Qingdao, China. As sponsor of SINOCES, CEA led a delegation to the show, which included Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CEA and Randy Fry, president of Fry’s Electronics Inc. and chairman of CEA’s Executive Board.

More than 80,000 attendees were expected at this year’s SINOCES, along with 500 global technology companies, including Haier, Hisense, Panasonic and Microsoft.

CEA’s Shapiro delivered a keynote address at the SINOCES Industry Summit. Shapiro discussed technology trends and predictions for the future of CE, including radical changes in radio and in-vehicle electronics. Shapiro also noted that open trade policies are critical to global innovation. Read the full transcript of Shapiro’s remarks here.
