The automotive sector at the 2012 International CES will feature several CES TechZones, keynote addresses and conference track sessions highlighting the latest and greatest innovations in automotive tech. Ford Motor Company also just announced the Ford Fusion as the Official Car of the 2012 CES.

The Location Based Services TechZone, also located in North Hall, serves as the premiere location for portable and in-car navigation devices and services, GPS services, Digital mapping and personalization of mobile services, based on location.

The Safe Driver TechZone in the North Hall will serve as a great opportunity to see technologies that empower drivers to use their in-vehicle electronics safely, featuring products that assist in auto collision avoidance, speed monitoring, hands-free, text to voice, driver drowsiness detection and more!

Dr. Dieter Zetsche, chairman of the board of management of Daimler AG and head of Mercedes-Benz Cars, will take the CES keynote stage at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 10^th in the Las Vegas Hilton Theater. The 2012 International CES marks Mercedes-Benz’ first International CES keynote address.

Alan Mulally, president and CEO of Ford Motor Company, will also join the 2012 International CES^® keynote lineup as a participant of the CES Innovation Power Panel, taking place at 9 a.m. Wednesday, January 11 in the Las Vegas Hilton Theater.
