Everyone at Thiel felt proud to be a part of the effort, and, in particular, was thrilled that CEA’s Glenda MacMullin visited Thiel part of the event. So, thank you so much, Glenda. We are truly honored.
Here’s a photo of some of our very proud staff with Glenda holding the “America Wins With Trade” sign. Watch our website: for more photos soon.

It was a rainy day in Chicago ( thanks to the remnants  of Gustav), so instead of a festive outdoor event with media attendance and well prepared speeches, we had an old fashioned discussion on the issues of trade and how we could bring more attention to the benefits of unrestricted trade with our international markets and trading partners. My colleague Mike Lohman and I had an opportunity to share Shure Inc.’s point of view on free trade with our esteemed representatives from the …

The America Wins with Trade tour rolled into Seattle this afternoon. We pulled up right next to that bustling block of vibrant free trade known at the Pike Place Market and with the Port of Seattle, another of our country’s important free trade arteries in the background we took our message to the people of Seattle. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Trade & Investment Policy for the U.S. Department of the Treasury David Kavanaugh joined the tour in Seattle to help us explain the important role that trade …

The America Wins with Trade tour stopped in Portland, Oregon this morning at the manufacturing facility of Triad Speakers. President and CEO Larry Pexton and the terrific people at Triad gave us all a very warm welcome. We received a tour of the manufacturing facility where Triad manufactures its built-to-order loudspeakers, right here in America. The folks there turn stacks of wood into completely finished loudspeakers and have them packed up and shipped out the door in just a matter of hours. It’s very impressive.

Thanks to free wireless Internet access provided by the city, this report comes to you from the local airport in Chico, California, where I reflect on today’s latest stop on CEA’s nationwide America Wins With Trade bus tour. Chico, located about 90 miles north of Sacramento, is home to a state university and is also at the northern end of California’s almond growing region.
Congressman Wally Herger, representing California’s 2nd Congressional District which includes Chico, headlined our visit to the Chico Nut Company, where company president Skip Hubbard …

I applaud the efforts of CEA and the importance of their “America Wins with Trade” campaign. Their grassroots effort to help educate the public on the benefits of free trade is crucial to the future of our industry and American business.
I had the pleasure of participating with the tour bus as they made a stop in Pensacola, Florida as they campaigned through the Gulf Coast. I must say that the tour bus is stunning and does an awesome job of visually communicating …

Florida Governor Charlie Crist, along with members of Florida’s Chamber of Commerce, met the CEA “America Wins with Trade” bus as it rolled into Tallahassee. Governor Crist, just back from a successful state economic development trip to Europe, which generated nearly $75 million in trade and investment for the state of Florida, talked about the importance of trade and why every Floridian benefits from global economic engagement and opportunity.
